About Solar Yield

Learn what this independent solar yield estimator and enquiry-referral website does, what it does not do, and how its guidance is produced.

What Solar Yield does

Every assumption behind an annual solar generation and value estimate is shown, not hidden: Solar Yield lets homeowners see exactly what drives the number and stress-test it themselves, then, if they want to take things further, record an enquiry so the website operator can match them with vetted, MCS-certified installers for comparison.

What this service does not do

We are not an installer, lender, broker or government service. We do not employ or represent an installation crew, and an enquiry never causes an installer to be contacted automatically.

Calculator first, enquiry second

The yield calculator runs entirely in your browser and is never submitted anywhere. Only if you separately ask for quotes does anything reach us — that enquiry is added to the authenticated central MoreLeadz lead dashboard, where the operator manages and follows it up, and it is not an installation booking and does not guarantee that a provider covers your postcode.

Editorial approach and what we rule out

Guides are prepared by the Solar Yield editorial team using clearly identified sources, principally MCS and Ofgem; no named external solar-industry reviewer is currently attached to the site, each guide discloses that, and we will publish reviewer biographies only once real people have agreed to review the material.

We will not create fake reviews, accreditations, local offices, response-time claims or savings guarantees, and the calculator's output is always labelled a simplified, indicative model — not a site-specific MCS performance estimate or a quotation.
